Packing

For all those die hard skiers who live in Atlanta, Miami and Tucson, I know your pain. I never thought it would be tough to pack for a ski trip, but as I stand over my opened duffel bag, sweating and wearing shorts, I'm wondering if my head is really running over the right travel list. Thank goodness for Down Wind Sports in Marquette. In the thick of bike/kayak/camping season, I was able to buy a new helmet and get my borrowed powder skis (thank you Carrie Magowan) adjusted to my boots. Now I hope my body is prepared for gliding on snow. I just don't trust the miles of mountain biking and kayaking as the cross-training needed to meet winter head on in 24 hours. All I can say, "When you love snow the places you can go."
